  • all Asteroid Belt will release 10~25 debri per hour, and after all debri is released, the asteroid belt will cease to exist. No base can be construct on that astro. Starbase can.
  • builder ship: can construct starbases on any astro, increasing fleet power like command centers, and debri production on asteroid belts (double per level),  Each level give more defense and production. 
  • Starbases can be captured by enemies.  Distance to the sun reduces/increases it shields. 
  • Starbases can be used to telepod marines, so any ship that can hold marines can use a alliance starbase to reload. 
  • Damaged ships can be restored only on player bases or player starbases.  And it takes time, proportional to the damage and total ship cost.
  • Damaged ships travel slower.
  • Jumpgates can be used by any player, no mater the alliance, but non member of owner alliance will pay a fee to use the jumpgate
  • Rally points, any fleet travel can use rally points (several coordinates).
  • no-stelar ships (fighters, bombes, ...) can use jumpgates
  • Shipgate is a moveable jumpgate level 1, can be used by any ship smaller then battleship

I think you should have to

I think you should have to build mining barges or mining facilities or something to ine asteroid belts, instead of collecting debris. Otherwise it's just too easy to let it build for a few days then grab it, putting little to no effort in.

Also, perhaps starbases should be in between planets if they are going to be capturable? Cause it would REALLY suck if someone captured a starbase or built a starbase over my planet. Now all of a sudden I can't do anything but build structures!

so, the mine facility would work as a production base? depositing directly to the player credits? no debri?yeah, I'm ok with thatit would take too much time to build a starbase to worth do that in a enemy astro, and any medium attack would disband the construction and destroy the builder ships.  Why starbase on any astro? So you can build one on a alliance member that is learning, working to improve that base.  Your starbase would increase his security, and you can let him capture it after so he will get the benefits!

each builder ship will have a prod capability, lets say 2 credits per hour.  Starbase level 1 will cost high, like 20.000 credits
and a builder ship will cost high too, 2000 each?
so, to build a starbase in 1 hour, you will need 1000 builders!!! and builder will have virtualy no armor, pretty easy to kill and will left generous debri.  It have to be wisely used, dont you think ? Wink

no, all starbase will cost 20k for lvl 1, 30k for lvl 2, 45k to lvl 3, and so oneach level increases it shield (based on astro star position!) and allow more marines to stay onboard, like 1000 per levelif you send the marines from starbase to the astro base, the astrobase will need to have barracks space to hold themif you loose the starbase, and you have marines on the astro, you will have to send fleet to pick them up Smile
